On August 3, 2012 Rights Equal Rights launched that global boycott of Amway / Alticor and all its divisions and family owned businesses because of its President and company owner Doug DeVos’ $500,000 contribution to the National Organization (NOM) for Marriage.  Well now Fred has a lil more help, Glee star and gay activist Jane Lynch has signed on as well!  Michigan Live Reports:

Lynch “grabbed the pen out of my hand and signed away,” said Fred Karger, explaining the actress’ response when he asked for her support of the boycott he started in early August. It extends to parent company Alticor and all other DeVos family businesses, including the Orlando Magic basketball team.

Post Card Signed By Jane Lynch

“IÂ’m wondering what Mr. DeVos thinks when he gets these postcards in the mail,” said Karger, adding that he also has the signature of Reichen Lehmkuhl, a former winner of the CBS reality show “The Amazing Race.”

The Emmy-award winning comedienne and actress plays Sue Sylvester, the caustic cheerleading coach on the Fox show, Glee. The musical comedy series has received praise and criticism for its depiction of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender high school teens.

Lynch is married to Lara Embry, a clinical psychologist, and the couple have two children.

Karger said he met Lynch when she spoke at a recent event to raise money to fight efforts by the National Organization of Marriage to reverse bills that allow gay marriage in four states.

Fueled with large donations from the Catholic and Mormon churches, the organization campaigned for California’s Proposition 8, a constitutional amendment to prohibit same-sex marriage. The group supports similar efforts in other states.
